Hi, My name is Alex, and this is my personal website/blog.

Professionally I’m a Software Engineer for OnPoint Digital, Inc. We develop web and mobile enterprise e-learning solutions. My areas of interest include abstract mathematics, compilers, concurrency, cryptography, networking, programming languages and security.

On a volunteer basis, I hold the following roles:

• USAR Responder - Nelson/Tasman Emergency Response Team (NZ-RT2)
• Venturer Scout Leader - Iron Duke Sea Scouts, Scouts NZ

Previous volunteer roles include:

• Firefighter - Stoke Fire Brigade, NZ Fire Service
• National Council Member - Scouts NZ
• USAR Responder - Victoria Rescue (NZ-RT7)
• USAR Responder - CURSAR (NZ-RT11)

My other hobbies and interests include Canoe Polo, Caving, Climbing, Kayaking, Mountaineering, Rogaining, Sailing, Theatre (Flying and Lighting) and Tramping.
